Three Weeks Ago
Three weeks ago today, I decided to make a change.
Three weeks ago today, I decided to quit my job.
Have you ever been in a place where you were content, but you felt like you were missing something? This was me, but I was afraid of change! I knew what I wanted, but I was comfortable where I was! I was happy at Pixel Army! The team was great! The clients were great! I enjoyed going to work everyday! So why did I quit?
Goals. Timing. Happiness. Change. The list goes on.
I have always dreamt of working in the Non-Profit Sector, and today, I can SCREAM to the world that my dreams are finally coming true! Next week, I start my next adventure; I have accepted the position of Business Development and Marketing Coordinator at the Bissell Centre!
I could blab on for hours on how hard the decision was, but deep down, I knew it was the right one! That being said, I don’t know what I would have done without the support from my friends and family over the last month; Bradley, Kim, Candace, Della, Christine, Aunty Lorraine & Jeff! You all helped in one way or another, and I could’t be more grateful!
Pixel Army will always have a little piece of my heart, but I am beyond excited that I will get to exercise my passion for the community every single day.
Now, I will leave you with this! If you feel stuck, take the leap! I promise it will be worth it.
Nothing changes if nothing changes.
PS. A wise man once told me, it only takes 30 seconds of courage to change your life forever.
PPS. Amy, I will miss you terribly! Nerds, please take care of her.
